Project: NELSON ROAD PARK

Revamp The Valley's Greening Initiative, has begun the transformation of another fantastic open space in Fish Hoek Valley!
The park at Nelson Road, above False Bay Hospital is occasionally enjoyed by local kids, but is a wonderful spot for seniors to rest and enjoy the view.

We would love to see more people involved - and if you would like to be a project leader, please step up. This Valley can only improve if YOU get involved! We will be there with you, and for you, just say the word!

On July 29 2017, we launched a new Greening Initiative at Nelson Road. We were joined by a lovely little girl - and her cats - who loves spending time in that park, even though there's nothing for her to do.
Here are some photos from that day

And then, we came back and kept working at it...

September 23 2017:
The Raida and Fudge families showed up to create a lovely space around the bench so that passers-by can sit and admire the lovely view, surrounded by an array of hardy, indigenous plants (and not to worry, Maggie, those Protea seeds you planted in July will show up when you least expect them!)

 A FANTASTIC TURN-OUT
ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21

A host of Revampers showed up to add their bit to Nelson Road.

More plants were added to the bench area; Kelvin began the work of repairing the bench (NOTE: we're going to need a volunteer to finish the bench, please!); the Kidzone began with two mini-tractors, a sandpit, and a wishing well made from used tyres.
